The Air Conditioning system in your vehicle works the same as in your home or car. IF A PROBLEM OCCURS, it pretty much boils down to two things: No cool air or insufficient cool air.

AUTOMOTIVE HEATING
Automotive heaters work off the warm air that is absorbed by the radiator of a warmed-up engine. Once the engine warms up, the passenger area will warm up as well. Your radiator needs to have an adequate level of coolant, which must be fully circulating. To test, run the engine with the heater on and wait until the engine reaches normal operating temps... then test the inlet and outlet heater return hoses. Both heater hoses should be hot to the touch.
Heating systems in a front-wheel drive or rear-engine configuration are usally more complex. You may want to take this type of heating problem to your trusted mechanic. Dave or Mark at M&D Auto Services would be happy to assist you. |
